Ruabon Certificated Locations

Ruabon, located in Wrexham, Wales, has been populated for more than 3,000 years, ensuring it is steeped in ancient history.

The Pen-Y-Gardden hill fort, which dates back to around 400 BC, has never been fully excavated, but was once home to a thriving community.

There are plenty of highlights in the surrounding area, including Chirk Castle - a 700-year-old fortress and parkland - and Erddig garden and park.

Visitors can also take a trip to Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, a 19-arch feat of engineering by Thomas Telford, or instead opt for a stroll in Ty Mawr Country Park.
