Why stay here ...

Riverside is a family run CL, nestled on the rural bank of the River Dee with wildlife and countryside close to hand. The site is located in a part sloping field, down a track through a medieval ruin. The charming welsh village Llangollen is 15 minutes drive away and with the historic city of Chester only 20, there's plenty of variety. For great food and real ales the local pub is in walking distance, ideal.

Facilities on site ...

  • Battery charging
  • Unfenced water

Beautiful, Peaceful location. 10min walk to outstanding pub.

Riverside
Down a small dirt track hidden from the road (no problem in motorhome) and you come to a fenced off area. Room enough without being too close to you neighbours. Water and eslan in far corner. You can't hear the road and you feel a long way away from it. A short riverbank walk takes you to the cross foxes pub which serves excellent food and drink with a view.. Stayed here 3 nights and could very easily of spent a few more!.. Definitely will be back in the future..

Beautiful spot.

Stayed here for 2 nights, wish we could have stayed longer but had boating holiday booked. Tranquil, river Dee at bottom of site. You have the option of pitching in a fenced off compound or going through gate and getting nearer the river and into field with sheep and lambs which we loved. A river walk takes you to local pub, the Cross foxes which was closed at time due to covid restrictions. Didn't meet owners of site as they have a box on gate for payment if you hadn't paid in advance, both sounded very pleasant on the phone. Will certainly be back.
