Why stay here ...

Wharfedale Club site is now open following significant redevelopment. We've carried out many exciting improvements including a complete refurbishment of the toilet and shower facilities, replacement of all service points and repairs to the road. We look forward to welcoming you on site soon.

Set in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, Wharfedale Club Site is screened from the outside world with stately trees and offers a rich variety of wildlife. Its two fields are divided by dry stone walls, which are very characteristic of this area. Situated in this loveliest of National Parks, the caravan site has excellent facilities, which were redeveloped in 2017. There are numerous walking pathsfrom which you can explore the splendid surrounding countryside, and plenty of dog-friendly walks nearby.

Wharfedale Club Site puts you within easy reach of Grassington, one of the most picturesque villages in the Yorkshire Dales. With its charming cobbled main street, comprehensive Information Centre and a good selection of shops selling local specialities, you will find more than enough for a fun family outing. There are also numerous pubs serving some fine Yorkshire Ales and some delicious home-cooked treats to be had. Prior to Christmas, Grassington holds a series of Dickensian Days on Saturdays throughout December, making this North Yorkshire caravan park the perfect destination for a festive holiday break. You can also enjoy a walk into Burnsall village which boasts a beautiful riverside location.

Quality wardens on a well-located, clean site

Our third trip. Took a wrong turn and had used the ‘don’t use’ route past Bolton Abbey!! Horrendous, so don’t do what we did and go via Skipton!! Very warm, well organised welcome on arrival. One warden welcomed and then explained arrangements to my wife whilst I checked in at the office. First impressions, very good. Discovered some of the pitches are on a slight incline and our inexperience meant we struggled getting the hitch off. However, a very patient but helpful chap helped. Then, I struggled levelling. Thankfully, one of the wardens was doing what we later saw was a fairly regular tour round the site by wardens. Once again, helped us sort what was more a difficulty caused by our inexperience in ‘managing’ the jockey wheel! Toilet Block clean, great showers, good dishwashing room (although I had thought they had space and could have opened two rather than the single sinks), well maintained service points. Didn’t do any significant walks - dodgy legs and dodgier weather - but spoke to several who spoke highly of the variety of nearby walks. Terrific Spar and Garage 5 mins drive away. Butcher in shop. Grassington just a few mins. Further. Had excellent Sunday Lunch in The Devonshire (covid safe arrangements were very evident) and take away Fish and Chips from the chippy across the road although these were a tad disappointing. We’ll return to this site - but probably in the Summer!

One if the three top Dales sites.

Each of the 3 sites in the Yorkshire Dales has it's own character and charm. this site is beautifully maintained by the very attentive staff and is ideally located for exploring the areas of Wharfedale from Skipton to Buckden and also Littondale and mapow Malhamdale. Superb walking whatever the weather. Nearest town is Grassington (All Creatures great and small - new series - Darrowby). Always a pleasure to stay on this little gem of a site.

Just lovely

Second visit to this site and it won’t be our last. Beautiful surroundings and spotlessly clean site. Short walk to Grassington. Can’t fault it and would strongly recommend.

Really relaxing

We have just returned from Grassington Wharfedale. The site is well positioned, 10mins walk to local Spar shop, 20mins walk to Grassington. 2 pubs within 15mins walk. The facilities were immaculately clean. Band system in operation allowing 4 individuals into the toilet block at any one time. I disagree with the previous poster, as I thought the ladies was very Covid secure. I think the mens may have suffered from individuals not being totally compliant with the rules. Superb walks from the site. Excellent for dog owners. Another time we will take the bus to Kilnsey or Kettlewell and walk back. Mini OS map of area bought at reception was much appreciated - Thank you. Aerial cable needed for TV reception. Wardens seemed busy all day long keeping the site in good order for us all. Many thanks to them

Wardens let down by members

A beautiful site in a great location. Beware the new arrival time of 1:00pm of which we fell foul. Our fault so I’m not complaining but be aware. Sadly we didn’t feel Covid safe but that was due to members being lazy and not going back for their bands but went in anyway. Hence, far too many in at once. I don’t know how this can be improved without closing the toilet blocks - we would support that.
