Situated in this loveliest of National Parks, the site has excellent facilities.

Wharfedale Club Campsite puts you within easy reach of Grassington, one of the most picturesque villages in the Yorkshire Dales. With its charming cobbled main street, comprehensive Information Centre and a good selection of shops selling local specialities, you will find more than enough for a fun family outing. There are also numerous pubs serving some fine Yorkshire Ales and some delicious home-cooked treats to be had. Prior to Christmas, Grassington holds a series of Dickensian Days on Saturdays throughout December, making this North Yorkshire caravan park the perfect destination for a festive holiday break. Approach only using the B6265 from Skipton. All other routes are unsuitable for caravans or larger motorhomes: On the outskirts of Skipton turn off the A65/A59 at the roundabout onto the B6265 (signposted Grassington); in about 7 miles in Threshfield do not turn right to Grassington but continue straight onto B6160 (signposted Kettlewell); in 1 mile turn left into leisure park entrance (CAMC site sign). In 250 yards take the second left into site road. Please adhere to earliest arrival time, as the approach road is narrow in places.

Well run site

Wharfedale Club Campsite
Just had a lovely 7 night stay at this impressively well kept and clean camp site. The site is a credit to all the site staff who were always friendly and helpful, whilst going about their tasks. Plenty of hot showers, toilets and all required facilities. The area is well worth visiting, particularly if you like walking or cycling. Can walk into Grassington from the site, not difficult, apart from a hill into the village towards the end. Our only issue with this site is people cutting through other people’s pitches to get to where they want to go, we’ve not noticed this at other CAMC sites we visit. Walking diagonally across the hard standing in front of windows, we thought this was very rude. Also very few people adhering to the 5mph speed rule. Why?

GREAT STAY AT WHARFEDALE

Wharfedale Club Campsite
Almost everything about this site is outstanding - brilliant site managers who constantly and consistently make a stay at this site superb - great pitch on well maintained grass - excellent facilities (toilets/showers etc) - great location with easy access - places to visit e.g. Grassington, Kilnsey lakes (watch the fly fishermen or visit the nature walk and end with a snack/meal in the cafe), Kettlwell, Skipton (street market, Castle etc) - great local Spar shop at the Shell garage and much more - Observations (sorry to be a bit negative here) Tv on Bollard started well then was lost forever - WIFI both 'free & Premium' are insecure and frustratingly kept dropping out - but I can live without them in such beautiful surroundings - On a much more serious note the speed limit on site needs to be enforced - the 1'o'clock rush was shocking (not by all) and single vehicles were often caught by the speed bumps with a clatter - it's not too long ago that a child was killed on a club site. Be patient. Having said all that this is still one of the best sites on the network - Thank you

Lovely site but not so good for members with mobility issues due central rubbish disposal

Wharfedale Club Campsite
I've been staying at Wharfedale for periods over many years. Great atmosphere; caring Wardens keeping things good for members. Sadly this recent policy of centralised rubbish disposal has made life more difficult as walking the length of the site to clear my rubbish is testing my abilities. No one asked me if it was a good idea and though it seems to save on the Club's plastic use I'm not sure it is proving a "green" result..eg members using cars to reach the bins..members filling the bins in the shower blocks. As it affects all of us how about the club organise a consultation of some sort and consider a different way of keeping service point collections?

Not for us anymore

Wharfedale Club Campsite
We have stayed several times at this site. It is a great location love the area plenty to do and see. I agree with the previous comments about the 1 recycling point being at the site entrance. We also saw several families playing Ball games i thought this was not allowed? Football, Rugby ball and other small balls being kicked around? Also saw disregard for peoples pitches, adults and children just walking across them all the time, never seen this before here.

Good Visit

Wharfedale Club Campsite
First visit to this site. Pretty busy, few pitches to choose from but mostly sloping. Facilities very good, excellent dog walk. Easy walk into Grassington and found Spar shop in Threshfield well stocked with butcher. Visit spoilt only by noisy neighbours playing loud music in their awning. Ideally situated for visiting all parts of the Dales. Visited June 2024.
