Why stay here ...
There's very much a water-themed aspect to Shawsmead Club Site as its close proximity to the coast and quaint little bays means swimming and water sports will be filling up much of your holiday time here. A peaceful meadowland caravan site, you'll feel positively tiny amongst the vast open areas and wondrous views towards the coast.
Shawsmead Club Site, situated next to the lovely village of Derwen-Gam, is also close to the Heritage Coastal Paths - a memorable experience as is the fishing and bird watching available. Along the coast, there are plenty of beaches and little coves to explore. Four golf courses nearby and the local craft centres will keep the senses stimulated. Its locality in Llanarth, Oakford means that you're never far away from the delights of the area. The caravan park is close to Aberaeron, an old-fashioned small town with a sleepy harbour, pebbled beach and Regency cottages painted in pastel shades. New Quay will resonate with the artist within you with a backdrop that comes straight out of an oil painting. It's better known as a traditional fishing village where fish, lobsters and crab are part of the daily catch.

Nice Quiet Site
Small site, very quiet location, but easy access to New Quay, Llangrannog, Aberaeron, etc. Lots of nice coast path walks. Saw lots of dolphins from Newquay Harbour and peninsula just north of Llangrannog. Must get fish and chips from Lime Crab on New Quay harbour. Easy access to site. Not really family friendly due to no playground or field, but not issue for us. Toilet block closed so can't comment on that. Would happily return.
Rude staff
An excellent place to stay in the peace and quiet of the countryside location.
