... the handbook states to not crawl in slow traffic

I wonder what their suggestion would be then if traffic is only crawling .... 🤔

to leave a sufficient gap to allow full clutch engagement by which point the person behind will be pipping thier horn.

Driving a DCT feels like a manual with the revs increasing with speed as compared to the TC auto santa fe where it revs higher initially with the speed catching up.

Have a read of the latest Sorento Manual from page 332, it's enough to put you off DCT's forever. Long live the TC, until we all go electric I suppose.

yep, same speel in our Kona manual and agree it puts me off too which limits the TC auto box cars now available for towing heavy caravans.

Off Topic but if and when we have to go electric we will need an extra two weeks travelling time queuing at charging stations every 100 miles whilst your caravan is being stolen because its been left in the parking bays due to no room at the charging points - just saying.

I would never try to compare the automated manual of my Smarts to a DSG/DCT but I drive a Smart almost every day and contrary to the press of the day that road tested them, I think it does the job OK. But I'd never want to tow with one (DSG/DCT ... not Smart 🤣)
