The new owner of a recently purchased local 5 van site within walking distance of Whitby has asked me about any rally organisers who are looking for a pop up site/rally field. Their field is very suitable being well drained with easy access from the main road and appropriate facilities. Just wondering who they should he contact?

The CAMC do not approve rallies held on land which has the same access from the main highway as used by the CL. Our Centre found this out to our cost several years ago when a ‘jobs worth’ site inspector visited the rally and got all excited. When the inspector spoke to the landowner, it was pointed out that far more income was made by holding a couple of holiday rallies on the field than was made for a whole year by the CL.
Best to check this out before arranging a rally.
