just wanted to raise awareness of the damage this type equipment can cause if they take off in the wind. Recently we suffered several thousand pounds worth of damage from a shelter at  a rally taking flight in the middle of the night. I have noticed as well some smaller camper vans have what could be classed as a large upright tent , the type that stands alone and does not attach to any rail on the van. As for the insurance position, could be tricky as its not a road traffic incident and the thing causing the accident and damage is not a caravan or vehicle its an accessory after all. I think on sites there needs to clear guidance as to what is allowed and whether the owners have adequate insurance for the benefit of the innocent party in this.

Can we add ridiculous poles with flags on them if they come unattached and hit a car or caravan
