I have just spoken to a very nice lady at the Caravan Club who has taken my booking for us to attend the National at Cornbury Park in Oxfordshire.

I find it quite surreal that we as a family can stay on the estate of a Lord and Lady in our caravan, and with all the entertainment that has been advertised in the booking brochure, we are really looking forward to the holiday.

Our 10-year-old son is looking forward to playing football, running in the children’s races, the climbing wall, penalty shoot out and the bush craft.  Our daughter who is 8 years old would like to take part in everything! I think she will be ticking everything off the list in the Mayday Zone as well as running in the races.

We are looking forward to visiting Blenheim Palace as it is only a few miles away and we are going to see the Bee Gees on the Saturday night.

I am at present trying to convince my in laws to come so they can go and see Buddy Holly, a Legend Reborn.

We look forward to meeting up with some like-minded people at Cornbury Park.

If you have been before, what can you recommend?

I have already been told to take wellies!

If it is your first time – what are you looking forward to doing?
