Pros
Nice weather eventually
Friendly people up on the electric lines
Venue was lovely
Good litter picking etc
Nice clean public

Cons
Outdated folks in suits etc - Is this really the modern face of caravanning trying to encourage newer and younger caravanners.

Racist acts - Martin Daniels cracking jokes about Muslims etc.  Dont know if I was more offended by his jokes, or the audience actually laughing at them.  Fell free to feel disapointed in yourselves!
Its outrageous comments like this that show how dumb this country is becoming.  Go read some history books and learn something about religion.

Centre based events - Sports events etc open to centres who were very much in the minority. I was suprised at how the lines were maybe less than a third of the people in attendance, yet most things were very geared towards them.
Centres have no appeal to me, as with a lot of families. We like to arrange our own things but maybe next time, make a bigger effort to let people know before hand that they can enter teams etc. without being in a centre line.
Had we known before the weekend that non centres could enter competitions etc we would have done!

Mud - Thank god it dried out, maybe looking at the forecast before the event may have led to a few temporary roadways in advance.

Health and safety - Hate it, but watching old folks trying to lift heavy waste up into those blue waste containers was awful.

Sorry guys, but the club needs new and younger blood, it needs to move with the times and the national really doesnt project this.
It shows itself as an outdated Hi De Hi kind of thing. Rooted deeply in old fashioned elitism and refusal to change. With a little sprinkle of "fun" racism thrown in.
Sadly our first national, and unless things change then our last.

We did enjoy the weekend, thankfully through us doing our own thing and chatting with the folks up on the electric lines.  Shame the CC didnt quite pull it off though.

Lets hope the CC learn a thing or two before the national fades away.

Oh and having spoken to a LOT of people this weekend, it seems im not the only one with these feelings!!
