Just returned from my 25th CCNR and have to say the National died in 2014. Why do I say this, well forget the weather, it rains for every National, but where were all the youngsters? Only 24 in the Sports, there used to be over 100, only 7 centres in the football, 5 years ago we used to play from 9am until it went dark. No tug of war, decorated cars and no atmosphere at all. Why, well for a start it is too expensive for families, charge per unit and not per attendee would help. Secondly, get rid of EHUs, these destroy the whole concept of rallies, which should be Centre based, not temporary sites where you are next to strangers from different areas.Bring back the community spirit which is the essence of rallies.

Maybe it is time for a rethink and have a breakaway rally, send the old farts who run the club to a  National and have a separate rally for young families, sports and fun.
