You know, we here on CT spend quite a bit of time criticising the Club for getting things wrong or failing to do them at all. Now, that's fair enough in my book. Constructive criticism is a good thing and taken in the right  way, can be a force for good.

Well, without appearing to be creeping and have everyone reaching for the sick bag, I would like to give some balance to my initial comment. Having just returned from what was described by Mr Janner as the most successful National for some years and I can well believe that, I would just like to thank not only the organising committee, which I think did a magnificent job, and always seem to deliver the goods (weather not withstanding) the supporters of the club by bringing their trade stands etc,  but all the small guys and gals who really make this event feel like a club. The marshalls, who, when we arrived at 7.10am on Friday morning greeted us with a laugh and a joke. That set the scene for the weekend. They were still there hours later still greeting members into the site. The others rushing around making sure that everyone was on the correct pitch and again, smiles all round. Again, they were still going some 10 hrs and longer after we had pitched up!! The refs and helpers on the sports field giving of their time to look after the youngsters and the not so young!! I watched the volleyball final between Notts and the Midland Centre and it was so good humoured I didn't want it to end. There were a few comedians playing! It was a true testament to how sports should be viewed and played. All the little cogs that made up this event I say a heartfelt thank you to you all. I and the OH enjoyed it immensely and my OH never having set foot on a rally field, says she would go again. Now that alone is a feather in everyone's cap.

The venue was beautiful with lovely countryside surrounding us and plenty of opportunities to find solace, if required, away from the rally field by walking down by the lakes - beautiful!.

So, to all who helped with the plethora of tasks needed to bring something like this to fruition, THANK YOU - you can be proud of the 2015 National at Cornbury Park.
