What happens when you find yourself left to carry on "camping" on your own?

This thread is intended to help and support all Caravan Club members who find themselves in this position and to share information, news and advice. Some may be widowed, some divorced or separated or some may have spouses who are no longer able to get out and about and some may be single.

Some Caravan Club members in these situations may be happy with their own company, some may be happy to simply look out for other solo people on site while others may be happier to join a club with a guarantee that they will have company on site if they so wish. What suits one may not suit another and indeed some might want to use all of these options at different times. I certainly do. Sometimes I like a bit of space and some peace and quiet while at other times I want a guarantee that there will be others on a particular site in the same position as myself. At those times I, like hundreds of other Caravan Club members, use one of the three clubs for people in the position of camping alone. These clubs have been supported by the Caravan Club for many, many years and you can find details of these clubs on other threads under the Solo Caravanning and Touring section of Club Together.
