Solos to change name!

After discussions with Solos, the holiday company that has been running for years, It was suggested that Solos changed their name to avoid legal action.

Under the circumstances, I don't think anyone fancies a court case due to a name! However they have been helpful and understanding, and it was agreed that to change a name too far away from the original would be a problem. So it was settled that we would drop the last 'S' and add Touring to the name!

So we are now known as SOLO TOURING

I will ask the mods or whoever to kindly change the Solos headings on each thread post to Solo Touring.

i will also arrange a new window sign, similar to the original with a few minor updates as well!

The website, forum, Facebook page etc are still getable under the old logging system, that has not changed! But, once on the sites you will notice the headers are now in the new name.

any questions please contact me:  Vivien at   solos1@virginmedia.com

I call that cheeky of the travel company after all it's a perfectly good word in the dictionary not a name like Harrods.  Pity it had to go single too as we are about joining with others!  Never mind we will survive!!  Amazing that a big company like them should feel that insecure!

It's intellectual property rights and companies will not back off if infringed.

I once organised a rally calling it the "Brown Ale Rally" you can guess what happened.Surprised

How they found out I have no idea because it was in the days before the internet.
