Visited NEC

Good morning all. I went with a freind to the NEC show yesterday but never got any further than the car park. The traffic into the NEC was OK if a little slow but the problem for us was the route from the car park to the entrance. It was bitterly cold and the bus stop queue was extending along the road from the shelter. there must have been at least 50-60 folk already queueing and more were arriving. The buses were noticeable by their absence. I am a fit 71 year old and my friend is a not so fit 67 but there was no way we could walk from the car to the bus, stand until we could get on one and then enjoy the show for another 2-3 hours. We drove straight out of the car park and came home, luckily only 20 odd miles. We have been going to the show for quite a few years but last year will be the last. I have never noticed this problem before and I can see no solution given the large number of visitors, just thought I would share my thoughts and see if we are alone in our experience.
