A few weeks ago a friend and work mate asked me about my caravan and told me he had just bought a cheep one to see if him and his family would enjoy it,having been campers for years i told him you wont look back,I advised to join the CC,he reply was ive been told about it but havent really seen it advertised that much and its it not for older people without kids?

And thinking about it i havent either, only in the caravan mags, and from word of mouth, maybe its time to start advertising outwith the caravan mags and try to get people into caravaning lets face it the people who buy the mags are caravaners and more and likely club members.Maybe Offering 1st trip at large discount or somthing open days at club sites to let people see the sites and what caravaning is once you have been a few times your hooked and join.I dont think there is enough being done to attract new members especial the middle age familys.Costs of overseas hols are to much now camping and caravaning is rising.

Since then he has done his first trip in a non CC site and is now looking to upgrade his car and van and touring on some CC sites.
