hi

crazy I know but what about helping the club we know and LOVE at these uncertain times,  I reckon most of us could afford a couple of quid or even a fiver each. We could all donate now to help out.

stupid idea or what ?

I'll be paying my membership fee soon, that's £54 towards the club (we have van insurance with them just now.) smile

"stupid idea or what ?"

Sure is.

I’m not bothered about a membership extension as I understand the club has bills to pay but in view of the shameful actions regarding the voucher T&Cs, the club can go whistle.

I've just made a donation to the local dogs' home and consider that a much more worthy cause.

You don't have to be a member to continue with your caravan insurance, you just need to be a member when you take the insurance out in the first place ..... I asked the other week when I was considering not renewing my membership šŸ˜‰

I for one do not love them anymore and as regards donations I think that the annual membership fee more than covers their expenses but at least they will be giving some of it to the coffers of great britain ltd thereby helping toward the tremendous cost of the virus!

O, not much respect for our club round here then

What do you expect in view of today's revelations? They are treating members very shabbily.

Remember, respect has to be earned and is a two way thing.

They have just been sent this e-mail from me.

Re my order for £200 of site night vouchers. I have read the q&a again and see that the vouchers now have an expiry date of 31December 2021. When I sent In my order the q&a said that there was no expiry date. If there is an expiry date then I would like to ask for a full refund of my £200 plus the £2.50 p&p as under the consumer rights act I have been mis sold this product.

Problem with that MM is if you have a claim and they see that you are no longer a member, then they may invoke the we may pay clause.

I am quite happy to pay the membership, with no extension, as in the case of the C&CC. I was even prepared to give them £600 up front for their vouchers, but not now the have changed the T&C's. I can think of far more worthy causes for my few quid.

To directly answer your question. Yes it is a stupid idea.

Well, from your post it sounds like you LOVE the club, which is your choice.

My view is that right now there are worthier causes which deserve donations more than CAMC.

Their policy in March in relation to keeping their sites open did not impress me one bit, so I for one don't feel like making any donation other than my membership fee which they got last November.
