Membership problems

We are very disappointed with the Caravan Club and will be highlighting this issue on various caravan forums as a warning to others as we are very annoyed with the treatment given to my sister in law and us!  On 10th May we purchased a "Gift membership pack" for my sister in law in Cwmbran as a birthday present expecting it to look very similar to the picture on the CC website.  What they received bore no resemblance to the product advertised in your shop.  They received a letter only from the CC shortly after the 10th May welcoming them as members and then never heard anything more.  No membership cards were included in the letter!

Eventually she decided to chase it up and initially the CC could find no details relating to her membership.   Apparently although she was promised a call back on several occasions, this never happened and she had to keep phoning and eventually it was resolved and she received the membership pack last Saturday.  It has taken over 6 weeks for the membership pack to arrive.

This has proved to be very embarrassing for us as we have always told my sister in law how wonderful the club is managed, but this incident has left us with a very bad taste in our mouths and we will be considering whether we should renew.  In addition, we were told that we would get a voucher for every friend introduced to the club and we have heard nothing!  So far the treatment that my sister in law and ourselves have received is diabolical. 

Please explain why it took 6 weeks for the membership gift pack to arrive and although I have not seen it, it appears to be a normal membership pack and nothing like the one in the picture and also we have never been sent a voucher.
