New Club Site Offer

Like others, I  am sure, I have just had an email from the Club with an offer of £5 a night off certain sites in July and August. There is a minimum booking requirement of either 5 or 7 days depending on site. This seems like a decent deal? We have just booked White House Beach for early July and will be paying about £25 a night which seems very good value, I could pay that much for a CL!!! If you have not seen the offer, details are here.

Of course it should be noted that this offer doesn't apply to all sites and so, only 24 (out of 150+ which could be taken as the rest are doing fine?) of them, about 16%

And also with clear T&Cs so in my view it's clearly targeting those sites where it wants increased occupancy and over a longer time frame of 5 and 7 nights.

I suspect that's the aim of this offer, and if it is then it could well work and like the January offers a good move.

And while as posted upthread in the OP it's a good offer when taken at certain sites and times, it's not so good when you taking a SP in the height of summer though of course certainly very welcome.

,Also as you say the sites you're on now which is still midweek April and not yet really into the season.

The club has always put out offers, as do all other leisure companies, it's just a way of getting more business. You used the free night offer in january coupled with a few days when normally you say you wouldn't use club sites. And you're on one again.

CS, we have been on this site since last Friday, so over the weekend, and there were only one more unit on here than tonight, and similarly the other site was not more than 1/3rd occupied. I also do not believe that the club has always put out offers. It is only since Covid that the sort of discounts we are being offered nowadays have become a regular occurrence.

We have always used club sites, around 80 different ones up to now, at a time and price that suits us, being like tda preferring the non-facility ones.

I think they might need to add Looe and Cayton Bay to the offer🤭 HS+awning pitches galore free there, right through the Summer months. Godrevy doesn’t open until late August, and this year there’s no Marazion.

I was doing a bit of a look-see at popular coastal family locations, but gave up as the search and availability on the website is shocking at the moment, chose HS+A as possibly the most common denominator.

As to offers I have some sites booklets going back to 1999 and guess what there were offers back then and in all the booklets I have, so Ok 'always' to 1999 when I joined and certainly pre-covid.

Again you're basing your pictures on a cold April out of high season time, not really into the season yet, equally basing your picture on sites that are non facility, as I posted upthread a totally different set of sites to those I use which are busy. I can't get into three sites in May that I've tried to this afternoon. Non facility sites are/were usually are not that well used and alway had availability, hence why they are being replaced and not before time in my view.

A third full at this time of year is quite good I think, especially at TH. We used it one first weekend at there were more on SP than standard, 38 v 33.

I'm glad to ses you are using club sites but I got the impression you mainly used CLs in your nights which usually number in the 100s?.

Club occupancy has long been debated with every single year saying club sites are getting emptier, but the club is still here, the sites I use are just as busy.

Now this is getting off topic. The offers are there, use them or not.
