Hi everyone, i'm just starting out in the world of caravaning and need some advice We are moving to Somerset soon from Essex and thought a caravan would be a great way to see the west country, if we were to store the caravan there it would save us from driving back and forth every time we want to view a property as we could spend a week or two or three at a time searching the right area and property. can anyone recommend a storage facility not too far for the Yeovil area.

I may be wrong but I'm reading your post as though you want to make use of your van for accommodation whilst in storage, to enable you to view properties to avoid driving home between viewings.  I doubt that any storage facility will permit that.  Would you be better looking for a site which permits you to stay for 21 days, or a CL which permits you to stay 28 days?

Apologies if I've misunderstood your post.

As brue 😲. Its a new one for me on this forum 😉

Incidently this thread  doesn't seem to appear in the latest discussions on the latest activity page. That's showing as Peak caravan, started 22 October 2018 2128

Apologies Boonster, your post wasn't officially live earlier on but now it is I can suggest Southfork Caravan Park, near Martock, a few minutes from the A303 and easy access to Yeovil via the Cartgate roundabout. It is a nice place with helpful owners. We get our habitation service done there, it also has a caravan accessory shop and the little camp site is very pleasant.

Hi Jill, sorry if my post was unclear (and apparently I posted it in the wrong section oops!) I'd like to store my caravan so i can drive to Somerset hitch it up and go to a caravan site for two or three weeks at a time while we search for our new home. then put it back in storage while we travel home. Once we find somewhere to live we would then hope to keep our caravan on our property.
