There is a lot of very unhappy members I realy do feel as my young family do feel the the board are so cut off from its own younger  memembers and I all so feel thay need to stop what thay are doing to day be fore thay go it to a board meeting and think hard what thay have done and to try and make the members come together  again as we are not as one  club wich is sad but I still hope it will change  and we will all be as one

Wene we chat to friends about going away to a club site thay say that it is to regermetned and may I say a lot of snobbery, but I have to say most are not snobs

What you say is an oft made remark about the Club, often by people that don't use Club sites. I have always found it difficult to understand and yet in 35 years I am yet to experience snobbery so it would be interesting for you to explain how you define it? Now I have come across a lot of people who want to keep themselves to themselves but snobbery no. As far as regimentation I am at a bit of a loss at how you avoid that on modern sites where there is a requirement for hardstanding and the same could be said of a lot of commercial sites?

A bit of imagination could limit the need for caravans in a row.

Might not get as many in of course (good)

Personally I think the Club as a whole has always been divided, there are members who only ever visit Club Sites & CLs and are often the ones moaning about not knowing what is going on and how the Club is run. Then there are the Centre members or ralliers who are the grass roots members, though even some of them don't know how the Club runs and many of both groups really don't much care as long as it doesn't interfere with their outings.

The Club puts out a monthly magazine and has a website I really don't know how much more is really expected of them when it comes to communicating with the members, after all it IS a big business and some things are not best shared with everyone, it simply isn't good business practice. But then you just cannot please everyone, there are way too many members for that.

I'm not unhappy about the changes in the slightest. Won't make a blind bit of difference to me, I agree they could have let members know before hand but they didn't so move on. On York Rowntree at the moment there does not appear to be a Lot of unhappy people on this very full site.

I joined the Club Together forum to learn about members adventures, good experiences,caravan/motorhome tips and advice, good places to visit, lovely CLs etc. Unfortunately it has become a platform for moaners and complaints. Let's have  a bit more 'positivity' and less of the negative as we look forward to Spring.smile

Interesting point. Yesterday I booked a week at Sandringham, and having looked at the CMC site on Google maps saw that the CCC site next door looked less regimented and crowded so booked onto the CCC site instead. surprised

Can we please stop referring to poster with a different opinion as moaners.

Its just rude and indicative of a lack of tolerance.

Simply more imaginative planting of shrubs etc would enhance so many sites.

We like the sites that take advantage of any natural features. Not keen on the "Car Park" philosophy.

Some things that the club could have advised members of.

1. New Affiliated Sites for 2017. Yes it is on the booking website but has the club told members that it is coming.

2. Mildenhall. Yes might lease might be under negotiation but there is as far as I am aware still a lease. Could be a lack of volunteer staff. If that were the case saying nowt to members is unlikely to help. Rather than let members book and say nothing until its highlighted by another member that there is  problem why not make some kind of announcement.

3. Rebrand. Could easily have told members why there was no handbook until 3 months late and told members and CL owners months ago that a change in logo or name was on the cards  without further details other than that there would be an 'exciting' announcement at the NCE in Feb.

Yes there are others
