What a boost to the club this would be.

Campsite for Sale

The Club would only create its standard model of lots and lots of hardstandings and totally lose its current appeal.

I imagine, like any other well run business, the Club responds to demand when planning their sites.

I can empathise with a viewpoint that, for some, an all grass site is more aesthetically pleasing; but for me, the anathema of pitching on grass outweighs that. A site with no hard standing has no appeal to me.

Unless an optical illusion of the picture, the hard standings on this site appear to be extraordinarily narrow. That is certainly something I would change.

If the C&CC are already involved with the site you might imagine they would be interested? But, perhaps the fact that a deal has not been done is an indication they aren't interested.

Perhaps they have already made an offer and the owner thinks they can do better on the open market?

The site seems not to have statics so it seems almost an exclusively touring site? If that is the case there might not, outside of the two clubs, much of a market for a touring site. No doubt all will become clear in time?

PS was that you on Look East tonight?

The standings and access roads in the forground have all been added very recently and replaced the camping/rally field. Standings are plenty wide to take a motor caravan, which is probably their target market. Those who want an awning can put it on the grass.

David (DK) no it was not me on Look East, what was the subject that made you think it was me?

It was about second COVID jabs, nothing to do with motorhoming. I was obviously mistaken with the name, apologies.
