It also beggars belief that some members think of themselves as the Employer and the Caravan Club personnel are their employees, what a load of tosh.
With all the forums shortcomings, does it really affect you in such a way that minor things play such a big part in your life, the forum is secondary to the main website and I can wait and worry not.

Whilst the forum may be secondary to the main site, it is the latter that is of grave concern. There are numerous reports of problems with booking, searching for sites etc. The whole IT project demonstrates a total lack of oversight and management. Given that delivery of the new website was over nine months later than originally promised, and the delivered product was of such poor quality, I have to question the competence of those responsible for the project.

It seems "some"seem to have a problem on "some"types of computers, but apart from the problem of multiple posts, I have not had any real problems either on here or doing anything on the booking system either on the tablet I am useing now on a site or at home on my laptop

Posted on 22/01/2017 17:50 by TinwheelerI have to question lots of things in life, CY, but the workings of this website come very low down on my list. I simply can't get excited about whether it works or not.

As forum go this one is the pits.
I both use them and have built them. It takes around a couple of days to adapt an off-the-shelf package and get it up and running and integrated into an existing website. I cannot understand why those responsible for this mess are trying to reinvent the wheel.
Yes, it's "workable" but so were caravans with iron rimmed wheels.

In answer to the points made above.......yes, the site is still usable. Worse in some ways than it was before. Better in some ways (if you can be bothered re-sizing photos to post them - for me, that means I still can't post photos, so even that gain is wiped out).
But really......when the 'new, improved' web site and forum have been promised for at least a couple of years......and finally arrives a year or two late.......and, at the very, very best, is only 'no worse' than the previous version......I have to say, that is a reason to complain. Despite what the ardent CC supporters (ridiculously, in my view) try to say.
