CAMC have put up the cost of wifi on its sites by 10% on the annual charge to £27.50. Have I missed something as there doesn’t appear to be anything in the way of explanation on the website or magazine?. Are they hoping that no-one will notice?

Thing is, "free" wifi in pubs, restaurants, banks or even campsites is very limited, fine for browsing or checking emails - but what (many) folk may be expecting is similar to what they experience at home and that is a non starter for "free"!  smile

Of course there is, its increasingly being provided to attract or even  keep customers and in my experience free provision is unrelated to prices.

I do not think the club have any of those issueswink

I don’t lift my pinky when drinking either.

I can't help it even with a mug! Two fingers through the handle, one underneath handle to counterbalance and nowhere else to put the pinky laughing

I am afraid you are wrong. We would but for Covid be spending September on a site where the free WiFi is powerful enough throughout a very very large site to to watch UK TV or listen  to BBC Radio.

Posted on 21/07/2020 19:19

Yeah, but why oh why go all that way to tune in to Coronation Street? laughing

(BTW, does that site give you any discount if you choose not to use the wifi? If not, it's surely questionable as to whether or not it's "free"! wink)

I will ignore the sneering about TV but in answer to your question, when they introduced  the site wide wifi they didn't  increase charges why would they reduce it if we don't use it?

Oh dear, did you really interpret that comment as sneering, David? Really? Even with the smiley? "I do not believe it"!

My most humble apologies!   frown
