Avtex Tourrer Two Map Update Issue

Bought the above satnav last year which features all the clubs sites.  There are icons for UK Club Sites, Certified Sites & European Sites.  Decided to see if there were any map updates before we set off for Easter and there was.

It was quite a big update.  One downloaded I noticed the UK Sites icon was missing.  It wasn't a major issue at the time as we could just enter the potscode like on a normal satnav.

As the satnav is an expensive product I got in touch with Avtex Tech Dept who said it appeared to be a map update error and to contact Garmin, which I did.  They suggested a reinstall of the maps, whcih I did and still no joy with the missing icon.

Garmin were helpful when I contacted them again and said they don't hold stocks of this satnav and suggested I go back to Avtex explaining I had been in touch with Garmin and they should arrange a replacement unit as this is a known problem but an isolated one.

Avtex contacted and fair play they arranged collection of the satnav and once they receive it they will send a replacement out to me.

Several phone calls to two different companies to resolve the issue so please be warned what is required if you update the maps on this device and any C&MHC icons are missing, especially the UK Sites one.

Exactly the same has just happened to us... so disappointing!

Hopefully someone will pick up on this and correct it (I've see another 4 posts from people with the same issue... looks like it may happen to everyone
