Caravan Club Home Insurance Nightmare!!!

Has anyone else had issues with this???

We were burgled just over a week ago and were shocked to find that although we have had CC home and contents insurance for a number of years and never had to claim, that the Club Policy booklet gives a claim number which has absolutely nothing to do with household insurance claims. We found this out after arriving home on Fri 22 at about 17.30 to find a lowlife.... had broken in, stolen what he had no right to and then left the devastation open to the elements so that there was a snow drift in our dining room. We have paid for our CC home insurance for many years and not had to claim so my husband confidently rang the claims number which the police officers in attendance expected to result in us having someone come out to board up the sliding door as is apparently the norm with household insurance. They and we were shocked to find that this was the beginning of a big runaround. It wasn't until Monday morning and phone number "13" that Mothy actually found someone who knew something about home insurance claims and only yesterday did we hear from a loss adjuster appointed by the CC insurance bods who will visit next Thursday morning almost two weeks after the burglary.

As you can imagine we are totally shocked by this appalling non-service and of course an official complaint wll have to be made. In the meantime, I wondered whether anyone else had a similar tale to tell with regard to CC home insurance and also felt that others ought to be warned about the 'claims number' on the CC policy document???
