Just had to come back from Isle of Wight due to a medical emergency. As always these things happen on a weekend. Rang the Club to alter ferry booking on Sunday morning but call centre is not open at weekends, so rang ferry company (Red Funnel) as instructed on the eticket., They said that they could not help me as the booking had been made through the Caravan Club!. The wardens at Southlands were sympathetic but could not help either. So had to wait until Monday morning to find out whether or not I could get a ferry home. As you can imagine this does not help your stress levels!. This booking procedure needs to change - either the Club provide a booking amendment facility at weekends or make arrangements with Red Funnel that they can change bookings on behalf of the Club who after all are only acting as agents. Anyone else had similar problems?.
