am I the only one with this problem, trying to search by map, on my usually fast iPad, the feature is unusable slow.

As a memeber of both clubs, I use the same feature on the other clubs website, perfectly on my iPad.

Ive always found the cc web site sluggish and annoyingly slow , and I have checked all the connections etc, it's on the club website that is like this, especially bad when searching for eurotunnel, and worst so far is search by map.

Is it just me?

On the next tab on my iPad I have the AutoSleepers forum and it comes up immediately when I select it. There is a serious design problem with the Club’s site (and not just CT, the whole website is too slow).

Nine weeks on and nothing done.

Eight weeks on since Rowena gave a detailed reply on three fixes for the problem plus a statement of concern, 22/5/18

"Please be assured that the performance issues are being treated as a priority by our technical teams involved and has been escalated to the highest level." Really!

There was a lull in the topic through June so maybe the club thought, Oh well, that's it job done.

Disgraceful that we are expected to put up with this and that's being polite

Itโ€™s been appalling tonight. Iโ€™m struggling to post just when things get interesting  ๐Ÿ˜‹

I was trying to post at roughly the same time TW. The site wouldn't take any posts. But still the boffins in EG continue to treat us with contempt. How about keeping some promises or maybe just ditching this monstrosity of a website and starting again? I wonder how many people have stopped posting and just given up because of it.

I would like to know the view of other members about the charge of£ 25 per annum for a service which is not available in all sites. I have asked the club about the problem I have experienced in the Ayr Craige Gardens site which is that the wifi was not available from Monday to Thursday this week . The reply stated that they cannot guarantee that rural sites will be available 100% of the time, the problem was caused by a switch to a new system which took 3 days to rectify. I would also like to advise the responder that the site is in the centre of the city of AYR.

This thread relates to the speed of the web site itself sadsac. There is another thread running that has recently been resurrected, that discusses the merits of charging for WiFi. It might be best to post your concerns on that thread. LINK HER

They may as well accept that putting small  sticking plasters on a serious injury achieves absolutely nothing to fix the original problem.   The CC (CMC)  website has always been poor and by bolting on the Club together add on, they have succeeded in demonstrating the website's many failures.  Removal of the CT bolt on would certainly speed the main site up but there would be howls of protests from posters who live for  the "What are You Doing" thread.

Since I have given up the hectic lifestyle, I find the leisurely pace of this website quite adequate and relaxing. Refresh a page and it gives me more than enough time to lift my coffee cup and imbibe some of its content.

Maybe being on fibre helps, and it is slow in comparison to other sites, but certainly not worth popping another Blood Pressure pill over ๐Ÿ‘

+1. Leisurely pace rules, stress not. Lay back, be cool, have a nice day now๐Ÿ˜Ž
