Motorhome Insure Earthquake Cover Excluded

We have just insured our motorhome through the Clubs Insurance. However I was very disapointed to discover when the policy Booklet and key facts were sent to me that any damage to our motorhome due to an earthquake was excluded outside of the UK. I rang the Clubs Insurance section who were not aware of this excliusion and equally did not want to follow it up with AXA. I have never seen this exclusion on any of my previous car or motorhome policies and my brother who works in the insurance industry had never heard of it either. We will be touring abroad and although it is highly unlikey that we will suffer any damage to the Motorhome in an Earthquake, I would like to feel that it would be covered if it does suffer any damge caused by an earthquake. Anyone insured with the caravan Clubs Motorhome insurance should consider this carefully before they renew or take out a policy through the Caravan Clubs Motorhome insurance service. As soon as mine is due for renewal I will certainly move my cover to a different insurer.
