Hi everyone,

Just to let you know the more environmentally-friendly issue of the February Caravan and Motorhome Club Magazine in a paper wrapper (replacing the old plastic covering) will be delivered a few days later than normal. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Ours arrived, no problems. Don't usually get wet mail, I wonder why yours is arriving like that David? Ours comes out of a post van straight to the box by our door.

Who can tell? The only thing I can say is that on one Facebook group dozens are complaining about the paper wrapper. None of us want something that can't be recycled but there is a bit of evidence that in very wet condition the wrapper seems to be vulnerable. Perhaps they should have waited until the summer months when hopefully it will a bit dryer?

Not just in the wet, David. See my post on pg4.

Doesn't your postie walk the round visiting all the houses?

I'd complain to Royal Mail if things frequently arrived damaged.

It’s only been the one item packed in an inferior wrapper that was damaged.🙄

It's a thinner wrapper than others I receive eg the RHS magazine which contains a lot of inserts but has a tougher paper wrapper. So possibly not the concept of using paper as a wrapper but using an inferior paper is the problem.

Brue

I suspect where we live the postie does several estates on his designated round. Each estate seems to have its own bundle, in house number order and such bundles are carried by the postie which is why they get wet!
