When the lockdown ends

I know Boris does not like to hear this but the lockdown is being pushed by economics,  I live on the edge of Manchester and can see a marked increase in traffic as more people go back to work. More shops and small buisineses have opened and even the bigger food takeaway chains are talking of opening all of them following strict guidelines.  Many shops etc have been open all along. Even talk of football matches being played.

The club should now be looking at the possibilities of how the sites can be run under strict guidelines.  There is not going to be a magic date when everything returns to normal as there will not be a normal as we used to know but a new normal of which all organisations such as CAMC should be prepared for.  If  any preparations are being made we should know about them and  be given a chance to comment and submit suggestion.  This is not what the club is used to but does what it wants and if it does not listen to its members it will see the membership numbers fall.

JUST LOOK AT THE MEMBERS COMMENTS AND FOR ONE PUT A COMMENT THERE WILL BE MANY WHO WILL THINK WHY BOTHER AND JUST NOT RENEW MEMBERSHIP.

Northumberland is also somewhere we'd thought about, could combine that with going further into Scotland, or vice versa.  It's nice to start planning a little, but still very cautious and not getting too excited, with probably lots of us having similar ideas, sites could get booked up even more than previously wink

Northumberland is stunning in September, combined with Borders. Lots to see and do and some of the best beaches in UK.

A funny to share, doesn’t take the wits long to pounce......

dont want to raise politics again or we get told off but if what is on the tee-shirt is true then maybe he should be made to walk the plank, but a report i read in the press said that the guy who saw him in the car park at Barnards Castle said he thought it was Cummings but checked the number plate of his car out online when he got home to confirm. Is there anywhere on line that the man in the street can punch in a number plate and see the name of the owner of that particular car, DVLA site only gives details re tax/insurance ?

if you havent seen it check out what Latouriste is posting on the overseas section undecided

Posted on 24/05/2020 14:44

I cant find any supporting evidence for his posting anywhere, the post immediately below his suggests something completely different, a 14 day 'voluntary' isolation period.

inhad already read that the UK will 'be in talks' with near neighbours to get a unified reciprocal 'passage' system in place.....the current tit for tat stuff wont continue if all parties want to move forward...

as i said earlier, plenty of time to think about the September position, no point in either getting exited nor writing it all off just yet..

im happy to see what pans out..

as i thought, surprised the press have not jumped on the guy in the newspapers today who said his computer search history shows that the car he saw at Barnard Castle was that of Mr Cummings, i am sure it will all come out in the wash, or not. undecided

Regarding the new allegations I will make just one comment (I'm not going to get into a slanging match or another bout of verbal shenanigans with others!)

The new allegations may be completely untrue and simply politically motivated. But Dominic Cummings could put them to bed  with one simple move - since it's inconceivable that, once recovered, he wouldn't have been pretty much continuously in phone contact with Boris and other ministers, allow the head of the civil service, possibly through the police, to examine his phone records.  If he was where he says he was it would silence the new rumours at a stroke and he could receive a deserved apology.  If he wasn't the solution is obvious.

I am sure that like everywhere else, BC will be crawling with cctv cameras, as will the roads between London and Durham.
