CAMC Insurance NCB warning

Are you talking about NCD from your caravan policy or from insuring your car?

I think that would be the case with any company ,you would be insured with ?

NCD from caravan cannot be transferred to motorhome

I'm not saying that....Just doesn't seem fair to be honest as was just warning anyone else thinking of changing...

Why mention the cclub as it would be the same with any company your  caravan was insured with

So you were hoping to transfer NCD from a caravan policy to a MH.

I'm not surprised that didn’t happen. Your caravan was not a motor vehicle and, essentially the caravan cover was for fire and theft as road going liability was covered by your motor insurer who gave you NCD based on road usage.

Also CAMC now provide 'cover' rather than insurance for caravans so you would not have had an insurance policy as such. There are technical differences which those who know more than I do can explain but it is another reason NCD is not transferable.

If the club offered car insurance, would you expect that your caravan NCD would transfer over to your car insurance?

It’s fairly obvious that you can’t transfer NCD from a non motor vehicle policy to a vehicle policy , but when we changed to a M/H and insured through the club they gave me an introductory 25% discount ,as we had had our caravan insured with them , but that was 5 years ago 

Not being picky, but the club does offer car insurance
