Bailey reduced wall thickness - does it matter?

Just noticed that on latest Unicorn and Pegasus the wall and roof thickness has been reduced from 37mm to 32mm. At the launch of Alu-Tec the greater insulation thickness was strongly featured as a benefit for cold weather touring - now it's back to the same as most others. I've got a 37mm walled Olympus, and one of the reasons for buying it was the improved insulation. I contacted Bailey and was told that it was a weight saving measure, and that all other models would revert to the thinner walls and roof when updated. I haven't seen this change mentioned in the tests I have read so far.
