Drip from hose under fixed water tank

I sent an email to Raclet about the issue above and didn't get a reply. So I called Three Shires Campers and spoke to Ivan, who was super helpful and amazingly has been assisting us in resolving the issue, even though we didn't buy it from them.

Three Shires Campers are taking over the retail side of selling these vans from Raclet and will also be doing the servicing from next year. They have looked into the issue described in my post above and we now have resolutions. We were also informed that all fittings were put in by Trigano, not Raclet.

Apparently it was a known issue that there is a slight drip from the plug, but Raclet didn't tell us, which would have been helpful. Three Shires have now designed a system to drain the water with a tap, similar to that used in motorhomes. When we bring it in to be serviced in April, they will fit this for free as a warranty repair.

In the meantime, he has found out from Raclet that they put blu tak in the plug on ours, but since the plug is supposed to be removable, we should be able to get it out to drain water. He has advised we could try pliers, but if we break it Three Shires have a spare they can send us. At least we will be able to drain water out. We don't intend to tow with water in the tank anyway and a very slow drip on site is not a big deal.

To be honest, once this issue is resolved, we will be very happy as it seems like a great caravan that meets all of our needs. We are pulling it out of the garage today and will have a look at all it and see if we can get the plug out. Not going away for another 6 weeks, so we still have time to sort things out.

Update here, Three Shires Leisure have taken over the retail and servicing of these Trigano Mini Freestyles and Silvers from Raclet. We had ours serviced there in April and they seem very thorough and really nice people, worth the trip there to have it serviced and we will be going to them each year for it. As a warranty repair they took out the water tank, resealed it and put it back in and put in an external drain tap, which worked brilliantly on our recent trip. They also added a switch so we can disconnect the taps from the 12v and leave them open for storage. All issues we had initially have been resolved completely. They know these caravans well and we had a long discussion about various aspects of the van when we went to collect it, it seems they check all vans thoroughly when they get them and add switches for the taps, which Trigano don't supply them with. So overall we are very happy with Three Shires Leisure and our Mini Freestyle 290.
