We have just bought a 2.0 Freelander SE Year 2005, we would like to pull a caravan. However I am at a complete loss in understanding which Caravan can I pull? It all seems so complicated. ... Is this right.. I can pull a caravan which MTPLM weighs no more than 85% of the cars Kerb weight? which I believe our car is 1650kg. So am I right thinking we need a Caravan that the MTPLM is under 1399kg?
I know I can't pull any more than 3500kg combined as I didnt pass test until May 1997..
If anyone can help me understand in layman's term what we can pull we would be extremely grateful.
