The Plot Thickens

Several members have commented on the inabilty to fit a towing cover to the Bailey Alu-Tech caravans due to the lack of an awning rail on the right-hand side. While I was spring cleaning my Unicorn today I noticed something that I hadn't noticed before - although there is no awning rail, the bottom trim on the right-hand side is grooved to accept an awning skirt. What is the logic in that? Why would you want a skirt if you can't fit an awning?
