Too good an opportunity to let pass ...

I found another post by a Yorkshire owner who had failed with the repair, blaming the materials ...

'Eee, poxy resin ...' sealed

Juvenile and puerile, but it's been a long week, cooped up indoors undecided

The current climate has no bearing on this guys problem. His caravan is knackered unless he can get help ,why are you negative?

Posted on 03/04/2020 20:09

Yes it has......all caravan repairers are shut.....His/hers caravan is not likely to be used for the foreseeable so will not get any worse because no one is walking on it !!He/she will not be in a position to view a replacement caravan at present. I am not negative apart from finding another reason for not getting involved with a forum that is full of persons like your self!!

Given that you have made several posts on this thread explaining why you don't want to get involved why not just make your suggestion on how the OP's situation can be overcome his problem and he can consider that along with other suggestions? Whether you like it or not you have become involved with the forum simply by commenting?

In the past when i have given others on this forum help and advice gained by working in the "trade" for a good number of years I have not had any response or a.n.other always knows better!so I no longer give advice, but,in this instance I felt it necessary to give a warning about expanding foam .Perhaps I should no longer be a part of this community.

... and that's what I understood you meant! ie what ever the OP did, DO NOT do as DK suggested & use foam

Don't lift vinyl use a round wad punch cut hole in vinyl where you need to drill hole and then stick back if you do more than one rember where they fit

Expanding foam in this instance isn’t what is required, but whatever you do require is available via online purchase and delivery. So it’s a perfectly good time to have a go at repairing it yourself. Especially as Google and lots of others on here could offer help.👍

a very good you tube video takes you through the steps . Done it myself a few years ago . Expanding foam ? you will end up with the rocky mountains as a floor .
