Autotrail Drop Down TV replacement

I bought an autotrail cherokee about 18months ago, with the optional media plus pack (drop down tv satellite etc).

The media pack is probably the biggest waste of money I have forked out.  The sat system freezes when it gets warm (even in winter), its a known issue and has been replaced.   The drop down TV is awful, the quality and colours are horrendous, not to mention the fact its not widescreen.   I have used a THX setup disk to get the TV to the best settings that I possibly can, but it is stil awful.

Even the 4" one built into the dashboard has a better picture than the drop down extension.

Has anyone ever changed the drop down TV for something that is decent?  I am looking ideally to replace the drop down unit with a widescreen one which will still connect into the main media hub, and still look nice and tidy - The default one has a nice integrated plastic surround.

I know that many will say you only watch tv occassionally when you are away so whats the point?, and I agree with that the TV is used rarely, but on a wet evening it is nice to pass time with the TV and it would be nice to have something decent to watch it on.
