Booster points for TV on club sites, what's needed

I have recently been to Rowntree Park and saw coaxial booster TV aerial points on the service posts. I found my on board TV aerial fine but am wondering exactly what would I need to get the best use from booster or satellite connections here and abroad.

I have the standard aerial coaxial socket adjacent my TV point and I also have a separate satellite F plug which goes to another F plug located inside my mains hook up point.

My TV has both coaxial aerial input and satellite F plug input.

I am not sure what fittings there generally are in the UK or abroad but is it possible to use the coaxial booster point on the site to connect to my external F plug satellite point by using a coaxial to F plug adapter and then inside the van use another adapter to go from the satellite out into my TV Coaxial input and thereby receive digital TV signals?

If a site says it has satellite connections are these generally F plug so all I would need was a length of cable with an F plug on both ends to connect to my van, I already have a short satellite cable for inside the van.

Any help is greatly appreciated as we are travelling abroad soon and it would be a shame to miss out on the opportunity of UK or foreign TV because we did not have the appropriate cables with us.

Any suggestions on the length of cable you may want to buy to meet most common site needs?

Regards, Roy
