Thought this may be of interest to anyone who passed their test before Feb 2001. These little mopeds can be ridden on your car licence, made by Keeway so at least there are a few dealers around if you have any problems. At 49kg with battery removed they should be able to fit on bike carriers with max 50kg load, albeit may need 2 of you to lift onto. I think because of their marmite looks they've not sold in great numbers so they are doing them at £1399 atm. Have seen a video with 2 people aboard, could be a good addition to a campervanner / motorhomer. A bit more comfy than the Coopop and cheaper to.

That looks quite good!

Just a word of caution! As far as I can remember, and things could have changed, you are not allowed to take a pillion passenger without a motorbike licence.

Full car licence gained pre 2001 = full moped entitlement, no L plates required and can take a pillion.

Licence gained since 2001 CBT required then no L plates required and can take a pillion.

Having said that they are very underpowered and would probably struggle going 2 up.

Yes you are quite right, but thought worth a mention as they're around half the weight of a 50cc and some auxiliary transport may be better than none for some. Had a go on a different 50cc equivalent electric scooter and it really whizzed along, that's what made me look into it.
