Trade in Price are dealers getting to greedy ?

I have been looking to down size to a van conversion.We picked out the van we wanted at a cost of £57000.We then asked what our trade in would be,our motorhome is a 2009 rapido 7066df we were told by the van makers that the most they could give us was £24000 I must admit we were looking at perhaps giving them £20000 plus our van but they wanted £33000. Are the dealers and manufacturers getting to Greedy ? We will not be buying a Van from this so called highly respected van conversion company,I dont know if I would get into trouble if I named the company.
