Alko wheel lock - More trouble than its worth

Just called to renew my caravan insurance throught the C&CC and got them to quote me without an Alko wheel lock fitted (this was £100 cheaper than the CC for the same cover as they have a choice of two underwriters). Insurance quote the same although a £250 excess in the event of theft.

This is great for the times you can't get the receiver and lock to line up on the trickier pitches. You also don't have to fit it when the van is left at service stations. Obviously I will fit it when I can but to be able to leave it off and be insured is great and worth a £250 excess.

My caravan is a Bailey Unicorn Madrid with a tracker etc. Thought that this might help those who struggle with the wheel lock.
