About 7 years ago I bought a raclette type grill in liddle. About a tenner. Similar to this:-

I bought it because I thouht it might be useful outside the caravan. Never used it and used a charcoal barbie instead, I havea couple of barbies for home use and use them regularly for 6 to 8 months of the year. At the start of the week I went into the garage cupboard and took out the raclette to try. Plugged in on the patio table to heat up and popped a carrot (quatered lengthways and then into 3 and dropped it boiling water indoors. 5 mins later I dropped in a few quartered small potatoes. 10 mins later I dropped in some green beans cut into 3 and went outside, put a very little oil on the teflon grill plate and quickly cooked some sliced mushroom. Put these into a tray and under the raclette. Popped a marinaded pork chop on top then back to the hob. potatoes in two of the metal trays. Same with carrots and a smear of butter green beans in two more with a drop of water. Trays under the raclette and attend to the pork chops. Result very good. Easy to clean as top is teflon and just lift off. Trays similar. Anyone else used one?

I will practice some more.
