Do you start at the front or rear?

We've been putting awnings up for years and always start feeding the roof canvas into the awning channel from the rear of the caravan.  In doing it this way, the majority of the canvas has to be pulled around the sharp angle at the top.

Everybody else I've ever watched on site also does it this way and I'm wondering why.

Is there a specific reason why we don't start at the front and take the majority of the canvas around the less sharp bend at the top/front of the caravans?

It's the most stressful part of caravanning as it is (divorce in a bag somebody called it) so I'm all for ways to make things easier.  Wink
