Question from a newbie

We have recently started caravanning and have a Freedom Jetstream with an acrylic awning.

The Jetstream does not have a bottom rail for an awning skirt. Last time we used the caravan (which was also the first time!) we hooked the groundsheet eyelets on to push on hooks on the caravan body. It was reasonably successful but I was hoping that soembody could suggest a more permanent or better solution.  (We thought putting stick-on velco onto the underneath of the caravan and the underneath of the groundsheet.)

Thanks in advance.
