Bit of a thicko question. Am I right in thinking that if I take my Sky + box in the caravan all its normal functions will be available? i.e recording, viewing, downloading boxsets with internet access?

You have to take the sky box that the card is registered to. Download before you go and don't forget that if you do not have a sky signal then you cannot watch anything that you have recorded

Thanks folks, so if I have my viewing card and box and an appropriate dish it will function just like at home? (Forget the box sets bit while on the road).

Took mine away on many trips and as long as you have a satellite signal you can do everything bar download. All I did was download what you want onto planner before I left home

Yes, is the answer.

We used to take our box away with us, all you need is the box, the card and a suitable dish to receive the signal. Its quite easy with a Sky box as it will only pick up Astra 28.

Yes is the answer.

We used to take out box away with us.

All you need is the box, the card and a suitable dish that you can tune into Astra 28, tis easy with a Sky box as it only tunes into that, you don't get all the other satellites jumping in the way laughing

Try it out at home before you go carting all the kit with you.
