This site has 300 storage pitches according to the latest magazine because of members demand but is little more than half full as it approaches the end of its first year. The facilities are superb and the access to the site simple so what is the problem?

As I see it the price is simply too high for the area as nearby Gold CASSOA sites are charging £250 as against the clubs £360. The loss in revenue by not filling these spaces runs into tens of thousands of pounds and I wondered how the club would react to this for next year. They have reviewed the charges and put them up £10 while the oposition has held the £250 price which is hardly likely to increase business for the club.

If the site is to work surely the club needs to look at the cost on other sites and compete by reducing the fees rather than increasing them and hopefully the extra business generated will bring in more money than running with the large number of empty spaces. I am not saying bring them down to £250 but bring the cost down to a more competitive level so the good location outweighs the extra cost.
