Hi all

Just looking for some feedback we are looking at an XC60 D4 2.0 diesel 2WD. Does anyone have any experience with towing with one of these and are there any common issue so should look out for. We have a V70 and love it just looking at the XC60 for. A bit more ground clearance

Thanks in advance

We have had a 2014 XC60 since new and towed with it from start. Absolutely love it. Drives like a dream. Tows superbly. Excellent comfort especially on long (distance or time journeys. Thoroughly recommend. Hope you enjoy yours just as much!

we have a 2018 Volvo XC60 D5 All wheel drive, the volvo retractable towbar is excellent, if expensive - the D5 over the D4 makes for more relaxed cruising, look around for the options you need (Electric Seats, Heated Steering wheel, etc. etc.) and decie what is important to you. - all round excellent vehicle

We have had a 2017 D4 auto awd 2..4 version for 5 years. Quality car but let down by poor mpg and harsh ride.

We have a 2015 D5, which I had brought one a lot sooner.  Tows superbly, very comfortable and relaxed drive.  MPG very similar to our previous Honda CRV

I have owned an XC60 D5 4WD and loved it (particularly the completely flat rear seat down load area) but I can't remember if the 2WD version is front or rear wheel drive.

I know others may disagree but I would not buy a front wheel drive 2WD tow vehicle.

When I started caravanning (1600kg caravan) I soon found several occasions where pulling away on an incline even on wet tarmac with a front wheel drive was quite difficult.

I regularly see FWD cars slipping/sliding trying to set off with a caravan on the back while on the inclined approach to Burrs CC site if they'd had to stop before the barrier.

Thanks all for the feedback much appreciated and taken on board. We have decided to go for it should pick up in a week or so. I know the arguments regarding 2 and 4wd we have had both and for the past 5 and a half years towed with a front wheel drive V70 with no problems . Hoping this will be the same

Many Thanks
