Hi everyone. My current caravan is a Coachman Wanderer 19/6. Its MIRO is 1399kg with a MTPLM of 1585kg. I currently tow with a Jeep Commander, which to be honest, could tow my house if it had wheels !!

Anyway, the Jeep is starting to cost us a little too much over each year so are looking to change it, to a more cost effective solution. There are 5 of us, so a large MPV or 4X4 will have to do, taking into consideration our caravan.

I'm looking at a Ford Galaxy 2.0 TDCI. It has a kerbweight of 1731kg. This makes the outfit a 92% match. I know its over the 85% mark, but my question is.... Will it still drive safely enough ?

Your advise will be greatfully received. My personal opinion is that, taking care, it will be ok. I just want your opinions.

Thanks

Allan
