Busch28,

Dont know what your driving for a £7.50 toll... Going rate for a car is Class B £2.50 single crossing (which includes trailers) even covers Motorhomes for this price.

Use the GOV.UK site to pay in advance easy...

Definitely £2.50, I've been through with the caravan for the last 2 years.

Easiest way to pay is open an account on the website and add your payment details. Your just debited automatically then and get a receipt via email.

When are you travelling , it only applies between 6am and 10pm outside of this its free.

Having an account also reduces the crossing fee to £2 a time.😀

We are going to Canterbury later in the year which will involve using the Dartford crossing. I don't have a problem with the £2.50 fee paid in advance for the one crossing ( returning to the north via a route to the west of London ) .. Can someone explain the difference between the bridge and the tunnel ?  Do you use either ?

Agree with others that it's £2.50 single unless you have an account. Bridge is used southbound and tunnel is used northbound.
